Je voulais vous donner des nouvelles de mes projets filages. Ils avancent lentement, je fil de temps en temps. Mais pas de façon super régulière cet hiver.
Comme je vous disais, j’essaye de faire un fil plus texturé, genre art yarn avec mon club hiver. C’est assez loin de ma zone de confort en tant que fileuse, et pour l’instant je ne m’amuse pas tant que ça! Je trouve que c’est beaucoup d’efforts, et je ne trouve pas mon flow. J’ai retordu environ la moitié de mon single, mon brin épais et fin. Il me reste la deuxième moitié à retordre, ma bobine était pleine.
J’ai encore environ 20 g de couleur Winter is coming et 10 g de rouge Résistance qui ne sont pas filés. Je vous mentirais si je vous disais que je ne considère pas d’autres plans pour cette fibre. Je me donne un peu de temps pour ‘pogner la twist‘ et essayer différents ratios sur le rouet pour la deuxième moitié du fil style bouclé. Je pense quand même que tricoté ce sera super cool… j’imaginais un tricot genre Chandail colère, ou Lulu de Rebecca Colère. Mais j’avoue que l’idée de filer une quantité chandail de ce fil……………….
Je vous montre aussi mes fils de la boîte Reine Forêt à date. Les trois premiers sont lavés, et Quartz est frais retordu et sorti de la bobine mais pas encore lavé. La différence est super marquée je trouve. Je dévide toujours mes bobines en écheveaux de 150 cm de diamètre, pour mes filages. Et là, j’ai remarqué que mes trois fils Reine Forêt faisaient 104 cm de diamètre. Est-ce que je me suis trompé de diamètre sur le parapluie en les dévidant? Ou est-ce possible qu’ils aient autant bougé au lavage?! Je vous en donnerai des nouvelles…
Pour ce qui est de Game of Thrones, l’obsession tient bon. Je fais très attention de ne pas regarder quoi que ce soit sur internet, afin de ne pas gâcher les personnages dans ma tête. J’aime les imaginer sans être influencée par les acteurs de la série. Melisandre était particulièrement forte dans ma tête, quel personnage un peu dégueu. J’ai décidé de sortir ça sur papier. Ça faisait longtemps que je n’avais pas illustré en couleur sur papier comme ça, avec ces médiums (aquarelle + crayons de couleur). Involontairement, elle est très « Club Hiver » 🤪 ce mix de couleurs me parle vraiment on dirait!
Là j’ai envie de tous les illustrer, bien sur. Les prochains seront sûrement Arya, et Jon Snow. Je vais aussi continuer les dessins du club printemps ;)
Autre message, de la part de la boutiquière, tous les fils teints sont soldés sur le site web. Petit ménage de printemps, fait toujours du bien. Il reste de belles choses dans toutes les bases! 💕
I wanted to give you an update on my spinning projects. They're progressing slowly; I spin from time to time, but not very regularly this winter.
As I mentioned, I'm trying to make a more textured yarn, more art yarn, with my winter club. It's quite far from my comfort zone as a spinner, and so far, I'm not having that much fun! I find it's a lot of effort, and I haven't found my flow yet. I've plyed about half of my single, my thick and thin Exmoor Sock single. I still have the second half to ply; my bobin was full. I also have about 20g of the "Winter is Coming" color and 10g of the "Resistance" red that haven't been spun. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't considering other plans for this fiber. I'm giving myself some time to get the hang of it and try different ratios on the spinning wheel for the second half of the yarn, in a bouclé style. I still think it will be super cooI knitted though… I was imagining something like the Chandail Colère, or Lulu by Rebecca Colère. But I have to admit, the idea of spinning a sweater quantity…
I'm also showing you my yarns from the Reine Forêt box so far. The first three are washed, and Quartz is freshly twisted and off the bobin but not yet washed. The difference is really noticeable, I think. I always wind my skeins into 150 cm diameter skeins. And I noticed that my three Reine Forêt yarns were 104 cm in diameter. Did I get the diameter wrong on the umbrella when I unwound them? Or is it possible they shrank that much in the wash?! I'll let you know…
As for Game of Thrones, the obsession is still going strong. I'm being very careful not to watch anything on the internet, so as not to spoil the characters in my head. I like to imagine them without being influenced by the actors in the series. Melisandre was particularly strong in my mind, what a disgusting character! I decided to put it on paper. It had been a long time since I'd illustrated in color on paper like this, with these mediums (watercolor and colored pencils). Unintentionally, it's giving "Winter Club" 🤪 this mix of colors really speaks to me, it seems! Now I want to illustrate them all, of course. The next ones will probably be Arya and Jon Snow. I'm also going to continue the Spring Club drawings ;)
