Isn't it funny that the last post I wrote before taking some time off with my baby was about some work for Noémiah... and now first one is all about her as well! I have started working again since earlier this fall, but there is not much I can show yet. This gorgeous collaboration took place in late spring and summer, and her De Glace collection is now out, so I can brag.

I designed some patterns for her, but she ended up using this single motif instead. It embellishes some pieces, embroidered in shiny gold thread.. and Also a cashemere scarf. What more could I ask for? This collection feels much more mature, Noemiah has found herself... and it's really a pleasure to be working with her after all these years!

Yeah. Are we close enough for you to know I've been obsessed with Quilting this year? If not; I have been obsessed with Quilting this year. Let's just say, since I have a bigger studio now (as in, a fair percentage of my previous home fits in the room that is my office in this house) I have enough space for my sewing machine to be out and ready pretty much any time. I have spent most of my down time sewing up a storm and quilting away. I have a couple of close friends who are pregnant right now, and this really became an excuse passion for me.

Anyhooo, I figured, since I actually drew this pattern (or quick plan, I'd rather say), I though I could share it here too. ;) I talked plenty about this awesome feather pattern on my knit blog before, so I won't repeat and ramble, but know that, it is free (!) You can follow my quilting endeavours, or not. I just wanted to share this new epic project. Especially in case they find me dead under piles of tiny fabric scraps, dehydrated and starved, O.D.ed from caffeine and/or sleep deprived, with dirty hair.

August

I don't know what to say about you, August. I love you and I hate you. I love that the heat feels more tranquil, and even though every body starts complaining that summer is almost over... I always know you will be warm. Really warm. This is the time when all the produce is fresh and we can finally really eat local. Though there is always autumn thoughts looming in our minds, and I keep wishing it will get colder and colder soon. We notice with you the day light leaving more and more early each day. You always have me miserable with allergies, it makes me curse you. I feel like you are the quiet, humble month of summer, and for that I still love you.
